Primero comenzaremos por hablar del primer Metal Gear Solid. Pionero en ser el primer juego de una consola que no solo suponia accion si no también la decision estrategica de prodecer la mision por un lado y por una manera o por otra. Este novedoso juego salio a la venta en el año 1987 para la consola SNES de nintendo

Metal Gear Solid:Outer Heaven-
La Historia:
África del Sur, 1995. A unos 200 kilómetros de Galzburg se encuentra “Outer Heaven”, una fortaleza militar establecida en los años 80 en secreto por un poderoso y malvado mercenario. En Outer Heaven se está desarrollando un poderoso arma, que si se llega a terminar podrá iniciar la Tercera Guerra Mundial con un claro vencedor.
Cuando el gobierno se entera de este suceso, mandan a Grey Fox, el héroe más conocido de Fox Hound –el mejor cuerpo secreto de élite con el que cuenta el gobierno de Estados Unidos-. Grey Fox se infiltra en Outer Heaven con absoluto éxito y descubre todo lo que se estaba maquinando allí. Tras varios días envía un mensaje con tan sólo las palabras “Metal Gear”, y acto seguido se le pierde el contacto. Se temía lo peor: Grey Fox había sido descubierto y hecho prisionero.
Fox Hound, sin poder permitirse más fallos, envía a Outer Heaven a un soldado novato recién alistado en Fox Hound, un soldado cuyo nombre en clave es “Solid Snake”. Su misión es descubrir el paradero de Grey Fox, rescatarlo si continúa con vida, y destruir el nuevo arma que se estaba allí creando.
Sin más que una radio, Solid Snake es enviado a Outer Heaven. Pero, ¿podría un solo hombre sin experiencia en combate real infiltrarse en una fuerte fortaleza guardada por los mejores soldados mercenarios? Nada más llegar, Big Boss, el jefe de toda la operación, llamó a Solid Snake para recordarle que esto no era un entrenamiento... era su primera misión, y en él recaía el destino de la humanidad.
Snake consigue infiltrarse en la fortaleza gracias a la ayuda de otros prisioneros. Cuando vio el nuevo arma, Metal Gear, no se lo podía creer: era un enorme tanque bípedo con capacidad nuclear.
Tras hablar con el ingeniero jefe del proyecto y descubrir el punto débil de Metal Gear –el ordenador central que lo controla todo-, Snake destruyó la amenaza con éxito. Pero cuál sería su sorpresa cuando descubrió que el líder de Outer Heaven no era otro que el mismo de Fox Hound: Big Boss. Tras un fiero combate con el “Gran Jefe” Snake sale victorioso y escapa de Outer Heaven, junto con su compañero Grey Fox.

En 1999, las superpotencias nucleares del mundo han mejorado sus relaciones diplomáticas, y acuerdan desmantelar sus programas de armas nucleares. En este entorno de paz pendiente, una pequeña nación en Oriente Medio llamada Zanzíbar crea un nuevo régimen militar y empieza a asaltar los lugares de eliminación de armas nucleares de naciones más grandes. Al mismo tiempo, el mundo experimenta una crisis energética debida a una rápida disminución del suministro de petróleo. Para luchar contra esta amenaza, el Dr. Kio Marv inventa un microorganismo llamado OILIX que tiene la capacidad de refinar el crudo. Como quieren contar con esta tecnología para sus propios fines malévolos, las fuerzas de Zanzíbar secuestran al Dr. Marv.
Con el militarizado Zanzíbar establecido como controlador del suministro mundial de energía y armas nucleares, el nuevo comandante de Fox Hound, Roy Campbell, llama a Solid Snake, ahora retirado, para hacerse cargo del trabajo. En su nueva misión en solitario, Snake se cuela entre las defensas de Zanzíbar y llega al centro del combativo país. Pronto se hace evidente que la traición de Big Boss en Outer Heaven no fue el final de la traición de Fox Hound, ya que Snake descubre que Grey Fox, el primer agente especial enviado a Outer Heaven hace cuatro años, y antiguo mentor de Snake, es el líder de las fuerzas mercenarias de Zanzíbar.
Snake derrota a Grey Fox en la lucha y rescata al Dr. Marv antes de recuperar el microorganismo OILIX, garantizando así una nueva fuente de energía que sustituya al petróleo. Sin embargo, haciendo esto se encuentra con Big Boss, que al parecer sobrevivió a la destrucción de Outer Heaven y desde entonces ha fundado el imperio de Zanzíbar. No sorprende que Big Boss posea un nuevo Metal Gear. De nuevo, Snake derrota tanto al Metal Gear como a Big Boss, escapando de Zanzíbar en medio de su destrucción.
Después de una serie de luchas y escapadas terribles de Solid Snake, se retira de nuevo, esta vez a las tierras inexploradas de Alaska.

Tanker Chapter

Following the incident on Shadow Moses Island, Metal Gear's top-secret technology was leaked into the black market through the machinations of Revolver Ocelot. As a result, countless variations of Metal Gear have sprung up in every corner of the globe, making the weapon an increasingly common sight in the armed forces of nuclear powers.

In the midst of all this, Solid Snake, now a member of the anti-Metal Gear group "Philanthropy", has learned that a new prototype Metal Gear has been developed by the U.S. Marines and is being transported secretly. To find out more about this prototype, getting support via the Codec from Otacon who is also a member of "Philanthropy," Snake must infiltrate the transport as it makes its way down the Hudson River, New York, disguised as a tanker. However, just as Snake is about to begin his mission, the tanker is seized by a mysterious armed group.

Plant Chapter

Two years have passed since the sinking of the tanker that Snake infiltrated. The "Big Shell" - a huge offshore cleanup facility constructed off New York's coast. Now, this symbol of environmental preservation, has been occupied by an armed group calling themselves "Sons of Liberty."

The President, who was on a tour to inspect the facility at the time, has been taken hostage, and they have set large amounts of explosives, demanding a large sum of money from the government in return for his release. If the explosives are detonated, the explosions will lead to the release of huge amounts of chemical toxins into the sea, unleashing a massive environmental disaster which would be the worst in history.

Faced with an unprecedented state of crisis, the government has called on the newly reformed FOXHOUND to handle the situation. FOXHOUND agent Raiden must single-handedly infiltrate the "Big Shell" and carry out this sneaking mission as his first actual mission.

In the aftermath of the Second World War, the world was torn in two between East and West.
It was the beginning of a new era - the Cold War.

October 16, 1962. The President of the United States received word that the Soviet Union had deployed nuclear missiles in Cuba. The world trembled in fear as the prospect of nuclear war loomed ever closer. After days of tense negotiations, the Soviets finally agreed on the 28th to withdraw their missiles from Cuban soil. With the resolution of this incident, later to be known as the Cuban Missile Crisis, it seemed that humanity had survived yet another threat to its existence.

However, there was a secret condition in the deal that put an end to the crisis. Nikolai Stepanovich Sokolov, a Soviet scientist who had defected to the West, was to be sent back to the Soviet Union. The U.S. government agreed to this stipulation, and returned Sokolov to his native land. Little did they know that Sokolov was to be the designer of a nightmarish weapon. Now, with Sokolov back in their hands, the Soviets are ready to resume its development. If this weapon is completed, it will mark the beginning of a new age of fear.

August 1964. Realizing at last the urgency of the situation, the CIA forms a plan to recapture Sokolov. They dispatch the covert FOX unit to Sokolov's research facility, located to the south of the great Soviet fortress of Groznyj Grad. Led by former SAS member Major Zero, FOX is a next-generation special-forces unit that operates both as a specialized combat group and as a covert intelligence outfit. The FOX unit's modus operandi is to send a single agent, backed by radio support from afar, into enemy territory to carry out solo sneaking missions.
August 24. Alone soldier swoops down from out of the blue. The man's code name is Naked Snake.
